The Stem Cell Procedure
Involves non-surgical administer of healthy baby born umbilical cord blood live stem cells with or without additional injection into the injured area/joint.
This simple procedure avoids the complicated and potentially dangerous nature of surgical procedures, but can also be used in conjunction with surgery to significantly reduce inflammation and speed the healing process.
The therapy has NO KNOWN SIDE EFFECTS, NO ALLERGIC REACTION AND NO BODY REJECTION. The worst symptom experienced by 20% of patients is a flu-like effect for a few hours or up to 2 days, " it's like getting a flu shot."
Live Cells Concentration
Cells are stored at a temperature of -192 C. At that temperature they are completely dormant and remain in their natural state with their natural properties. Administered by IV infusion or injection, a 20 minute process.
Cells has no known side effects, body rejection or allergic reaction. The worst symptoms in 20% of the patients is a flu like symptoms for a few hours or up to 2 days, it's like getting a flu shot.
Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC’s): Environmentally responsive therapeutics for regenerative medicine.
MSC’s are partially defined by their ability to differentiate into various tissues but it is their trophic, paracrine, and immunomodulatory functions that may have the greatest therapeutic impact. Unlike pharmaceutical treatments that deliver a single agent at a specific dose, MSC’s are site regulated and secrete bioactive factors and signals at variable concentrations in response to local micro environmental cues.
MSC’s function as surveyors of their kingdom, capable of responding to local stimuli with a myriad of beneficial interventions. The availability and versatility of these remarkable cells make them an excellent treatment option for a wide variety of clinical pathologies, and it falls to the scientific community to establish clear guidelines for the optimal administration of MSC-based therapies.
Definitions:
Trophic: Relating to feeding and nutrition.
Paracrine: Denoting a hormone that has effect only in the vicinity of the gland secreting it.
Immunomodulatory: Capable of modifying or regulating one or more immune functions.
CFU-F: Colony Forming Unit-Fibroblast.

Tissue Sources of MSC’s
The stem cells reside within the cells of these tissues and require a special enzymatic procedure to release them from within the cells.
Bone marrow, adipose (fat), dermis (skin), synovial fluid (joint fluid), periosteum (covering around the bone that houses the nerves and blood vessels for the bone), umbilical cord blood, placenta, and amniotic fluid.
Misconceptions
Aborted fetus, planned parenthood fiasco, embryonic (Slide of sperm, oocyte, embryo)
Stem cells are harvested from the umbilical cord of a live birth healthy baby!!!
Capacity of MSC’s
The primary trophic property of MSC’s is the secretion of growth factors and other cytokines to induce cell proliferation and angiogenesis. The trophic effects extend beyond cell proliferation to the reduction of scar tissue formation.
Anti-Inflammatory and Immunomodulatory Properties of MSC’s:
In musculatory trauma, inflammatory conditions at the site of injury impede the natural repair processes from taking place. MSC’s assist via paracrine mechanisms and modulate the regenerative environment via anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory mechanisms.
In response to inflammatory molecules such as IL-1, 2, and 12, TNF-alpha and interferon gamma (that is initiated by T-1 helper cells).
MSC’s secrete an array of growth factors and anti-inflammatory proteins with complex feedback mechanisms. The key immunomodulatory cytokines include PGE-2, tissue growth factor-beta 1, hepatocyte growth factor, nitrous oxide, IL-4, 6, 10 and many more (secreted by T-2 helper cells).
MSC’s prevent proliferation and function of many inflammatory immune cells, including T cells, and NK cells.
A characteristic of chronically inflamed environments is a persistent imbalance in the types of T cells.
MSC’s indirectly promote the transition of T-1 helper cells (the pro-inflammatory cells) to T-2 helper cells (anti-inflammatory cells) by reducing interferon gamma and increasing IL-4, and 10.
The restored T-1/T-2 balance (immunomodulation) has been shown to improve tissue regeneration, alleviate symptoms of autoimmune diseases and have an anti-diabetic effect.
To make it simple. An MSC induced reduction in interferon gamma and IL-4 (the pro-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic, and tissue growth inhibition factors), promotes a shift to the anti-inflammatory, pro-remodeling, and tissue healing type, an effect that is required for skeletal, muscular and neural healing and regeneration.
Anti-Apoptotic Properties:
Apoptosis: Literally means cellular suicide. Due to environmental conditions.
An important property of MSC’s is the ability to rescue apoptotic cells induced by traumatic exposures to hypoxia, chemicals/acidity, mechanical damage, or radiation. MSC’s have proved to reverse apoptosis in cells. The mechanism is not fully understood.
Antimicrobial Properties:
The native immune defense against microbial infections is caused by multiple polypeptides. LL37 is the most commonly secreted polypeptide and has been shown to be a potential effective therapeutic agent against acute and systemic infections. It has also been shown to be effective against protazoal parasites.
Simple Explanation
Autograft is a cell taken from your body and put back into your body.
Allograft is a cell taken from another human and put into your body, (species to species).
Xenograft is a cell taken from a different species and placed into your body, (valve from a pig heart implanted into your heart).
Abbreviations like: TNF (tissue necrosis factor), IL-10 (interleukin 10), IFN-γ (Interferon gamma), IL-4 (interleukin 4), IL-12 (interleukin 12), Th1 Th (T-cell helper cells), Treg (T-cell regulator).
Bad Guys: TNF, IFN-γ, IL-12, T1 helpers cells and regulators are the mechanisms that set a person up for an allergic reaction, or GVHD (graft versus host disease).
Good Guys: IL-4 and IL-10, and T2 helper cells are the cells that effectively regulate the expression of the Bad Guys.
Mesenchymal stem cells produce huge quantities of bio-molecules, some of which are immunosuppressive; MSCs put up a curtain of molecules around themselves that allows donor (allogeneic) MSCs to be transplanted into a recipient free from immune response;” I think that is a very eloquent statement but may not be clear to everyone. Basically it is saying this; Once the MSC’s are infused into the body, they produce a huge quantity of bio-molecules, some of which help to suppress our immune system against having an allergic reaction to the MSC infusion. Basically, the Good Guys IL-4 and IL-10 act to set up a shield whereby the Bad Guys TNF, IFN-γ, IL-12, and T-cell regulators and helpers are unable to cause the allergic reaction to take place.
Definitions:
T-regulator cells: Cause the up regulation of all T-helper cells. T-1 bad, T-2 good.
T-1 helper cells: Activate macrophages and are responsible for cell mediated immunity.
T-2 helper cells: Expresses IL-4 & IL-10 which puts up the shield of protection.
Type of Tissue Transplants
Autograft: (Autologous) Self to self. Remove bone marrow from your body, concentrate the cells and place back into your body.
Allograft: (allogenic) Species to species. Remove bone from one person, process, them put into another person.
Xenograft: (Xenogenic) One species to another. Take a heart valve from a pig and put into a human.
Type of Tissue Transplants
Most of the disease processes we are dealing with are systemic in nature and not localized to a specific joint or site. Take rheumatoid arthritis for example. We tend to think of an older person with swollen joints that have a hard time walking but in reality, the inflammation is all throughout the body and most everything is affected. If you were to only put stem cells in the painful joints, the patients would only have a certain amount of relief. Since this is a systemic condition we would use 4cc’s of MSC’s, giving 90% intravenously to treat the systemic condition and only about 10% in specific joints that are specifically painful.
