Creating Lasting Change
In the last 6 years, we have built 38 schools , enrolled over 4,000 students, and trained 150+ teachers. We create lasting change by securing commitment from local government, deeply engaging parents and building safe places to learn and thrive.

Raising Future Leaders
Every year, hundreds of U.S. high school students travel abroad to our schools in Guatemala by participating in our Student Service Learning Program. These young leaders experience first hand what life is like on the other side of the border and learn how they can play a role in solving our nations pressing problems.

Celebrating 5 Years and Going Strong
Celebrating 5 Years and Going Strong...
Last year, School the World was proud to have celebrated our 5th year anniversary. We are grateful to all of our supporters and especially to the brave young children working so hard to learn to read and write. You are our heroes!

Power of Play: Education beyond the Classrooms
Play is an important part of the learning experience. In most areas, children go to work before and after school with little time for play. While developing literacy skills is a cornerstone to our education, we believe giving our students a safe place to discover, imagine and explore is equally important.

MEET CLAUDIA:
Claudia spent 3 years traveling to Guatemala during her school break to build schools in 3 different communities. She dedicated herself to fundraising, a week of service and as a result, dedicated three schools to benefit hundreds of children.
“It was so amazing to be part of making just a small step towards something so much bigger. I think that we can almost learn more from the children and the community than they can learn from us!”
